EGBIN Power Plc operates one of the largest thermal power plants in sub-Saharan Africa, contributing over 10% of the total electricity generated to the Nigerian National Grid. We depend on key suppliers and third-party providers, locally and internationally, to supply and maintain equipment and services that we utilize to meet our objective of providing reliable electricity to Africa’s largest economy.


Our key assets include 220MW generating units, common services assets, about 140 residential apartments, a sports complex (comprising an indoor and outdoor gym, squash court, lawn tennis courts, and two football pitches); recreational complex (comprising club, bar, restaurant, supermarket, hair salon); a group of schools (comprising primary and secondary) as well as a fleet of vehicles ( including four-wheel drive and articulated vehicles) and two boats.


Since the privatization of the company in 2013, the company’s assets have undergone significant upgrades and renewals. The company plans to double its power generation capacity via Egbin Phase 2 Project.


In order to develop an online real-time asset and warehouse management and resources optimization capability, the company intends to issue this Invitation To Tender (ITT) for its STANDARD NAMING CONVENTION AND ASSOCIATED ORDERING DOCUMENTS (SNCAOD) PROJECT

This project will play a central role in the company’s asset obsolescence and end-of-life management plans among several other uses.
